The fresh fruit and vegetables industry and the challenges facing producers in the current circumstances have been the topic of the third Svet hoće domaće #OdKuće online panel discussion. The participants reached conclusions that in this time of crisis, limited transport and labor shortages are evident, but on the other hand, exports have not ceased, and the main opportunity lies with a greater placement of goods on the domestic market.

All panelists agreed that despite different types of issues facing small and large companies, strong cooperation between companies is crucial to minimize the impact of Covid-19 on the food sector. In addition, panelists concurred that companies need to look for ways to transform their businesses by taking advantage of changing consumer trends (e.g. growth of online sales) during this period.
