The Project`s operations component works on industry consolidation by strengthening industry associations and working with key anchor firms who serve as value chain integrators in key competitiveness sectors. In a dynamic and demanding export market, consolidated and coordinated quality product offer is frequently the key in securing long-term relationships and contracts. The Project partners with key stakeholders to provide needed technical support to ensure success of new market linkages.
1. Serbian Chamber of Commerce: System strengthening – connections between exporters and SMEs, and access to finance
In partnership with PKS, the Project aims to provide new business support services to companies by conducting industry diagnostics, facilitating networking, and providing trainings and recommendations on utilizing available sources of funds. Improved connections between firms should lead to industry consolidation and more efficient control of supply chains.
2. Industry associations
The Project works with industry associations to strengthen their capacity and assist them to develop and improve services to member firms, attract new members, facilitate access to markets and improve coordination with stakeholders. The Project supports organic and prune associations and is streamlining the forming of apple and fresh berry associations.
